Holland Conservation Commission
Minutes of Commission meeting held on June 12, 2007.
Present: Mary vandenBerg, Chairperson, Steven Anderstrom, Patricia Caron, Howard Fife, Rolf Hilbig, Kathleen McGrory and James Wettlaufer.
7:00 p.m. Chairperson called the meeting to order.
There was no meeting on May 29, 2007 due to the Annual Town Meeting.
7:05 p.m. Minutes of Commission Meeting held on June 5, 2007 were read and accepted and will be distributed.
A site visit was done at of addressStreet5 Candlewood Court and Candlewood Dr. We spoke with Kristina Wyszomirski and Warren Kenniston of addressStreet14 Candlewood Dr. Erosion controls were discussed. Mr. Kenniston agreed to connect the corrugated pipe to divert the storm water away from Mrs. Wyszomirski’s property within the next few weeks. We also recommended that the Wyszomirski’s add crushed stone on the “sandy” patches on addressStreetCandlewood Court to slow down the amount of sand washing down onto the end of addressStreetCandlewood Dr.
Warning posters of the forthcoming seeding of Hamilton Reservoir on June 13, 2007 were posted around the lake on June 10, 2007. Lycott Environmental Engineering called to inform the Selectmen of a change in date to June 12, 2007 and put up new warning posters.
7:45 p.m. Mr. John Phelps of addressStreetIsland Rd. plans on installing a perimeter pipe along one side of his house within 50 feet of the lake. He questioned what would be required from the HCC. He was given instructions on how to obtain a Request for Determination form from the PlaceNameplaceVirtual PlaceTypeTown Hall site.
Mary vandenBerg and James Wettlaufer’s terms are due to expire on 6-30-2007. Both agreed to continue on the Conservation Commission for another three year term. Kathleen McGrory’s term also expires on 6-30-2007 but will not be able to continue due to other commitments.
Motion to adjourn was made, seconded and approved by all. Meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
